The St Helen’s Youth Club meets on Friday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the Parish Hall. The club is devoted on alternate weeks to Years 6-7 and Years 8-9. If you would like to join the Youth Club, membership forms can be obtained from our two parishes in June.
Beavers and Cubs
Our Beavers meet on Tuesday evenings (term time) from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm in the Small Hall, and our Cubs meet also on Tuesday evenings (term time) from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm
Our Scout Group meets on Thursday evenings (term time) from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Brownies and Rainbows
Our Brownie group meets on Thursday evenings and our Rainbows meet on Wednesday evenings, both in the Parish Hall from 5 pm to 6 pm
Toddlers and Parents Group
This Group meets every Friday afternoon from 1:15 pm to 2:30 pm in the Cathedral Parish Hall.
The Catenians are an international brotherhood of Catholic men drawn from business and the professions. They meet socially once a month, reflecting the mutual support, and sharing the common values found within the Association.
Society of St Vincent de Paul
This group of volunteers visit the sick and disadvantaged, with a view to providing practical and spiritual support. They meet at The Grange both for prayer and to identify candidates in need of help and assistance
Knights of St Columba
This group is an order of Catholic laymen dedicated to supporting the mission of the Church, while at the same time working for the spiritual and material good of its members and their families. Members of the Order strive to achieve these aims through the fundamental virtues of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
Justice and Peace Group
This group campaigns for those in need both globally and locally. Its aim is to raise awareness of issues relating to justice and peace. The group organises petitions and invites guest speakers; and it supports practical campaigns such as the selling of fairly traded products once a month after Mass.
All volunteers working with children and vulnerable adults in our parishes must have a Criminal Records Bureau check.
